74 out of 108

At a primary school in Ishinomaki city, the city was among the most seriously affected,
74 students out of 108 failed to escape with 10 teachers out of 13.

It was the worst case caused by several factors.

- There were only young teachers with no experience of tsunami.

- The principal was absent on that day.

- The manual was strict to a rule that children can go home only with their parents.

- The path to escape to the hill is closed to the river.

- They could not hear or watch the tsunami coming.

- The city had estimated the tsunami cannot reach the place.

Some parents lost one kid, two kids or whole kids.

I can't imagine how they can overcome this nightmare.
