A politician, Ryu Matsumoto was appointed as the Minister of Reconstruction
on June 28th, 2011 and resigned on the 5th of July because of his verbal abuse.
Day 1: "I hate both The Democratic Party and Liberal Democratic Party. "
* This is actually favorable impression to the citizens as we were sick of both parties.
Day 4: He apologized for this comment.
Day 6: He visited the governor of Iwate prefecture.
He gave a soccer ball with message by KICKING it.
"We don't help you if you don't give us ideas"
"I'm from Kyushu(southern part of Japan),
so I have no idea which cities are located which place."
"Construction of temporary houses is not OUR job, but YOURS."
Then he visited the governor of Miyagi prefecture.
He got upset that the governor was not waiting for him
at the reception office and had to wait for 90 SECONDS.
When governor Murai showed us, Matsumoto rejected to shake his hand.
"You must welcome the guest in the room.
This is pretty obviouse among self-defence forces (you were belong to)
because they understand seniority system well. "
Also he said to people from the media.
"If any one of you write about this, you are OVER."
ONE of the local stations broadcast it.
(they didn't write because they were told not to!)
Starting by this, his fiasco is out by all the media.
Day 7: "I'm from Kyoshu area, so my way of speech is harsh a little bit."
"I'll apologize if my comment hurt feeling of people at the areas."
"My blood type is B, so I got sometimes too simplistic."
Day 8: He resigned.
" The reason is very personal and I'm not going to talk about it."
" I really want to thank my family."
(To the media )" Please insert this comment at the beginning of my speech ( when you broadcast this) 'I would like to apologize for all my comments that hurt people at affected area'"
What he did is to delay the reconstruction work and to put people of B blood type and from Kyushu in an unfavorable position.
